Interactive Listening Quiz!

There are many good answers, but the idea is to create a discussion and we hope that you had fun with our questions!

What do these musicians have in common?

  • Hildegard von Bingen and Lady GaGa :  Progressive women who challenged typical roles of women in society.
  • Coldplay, the Beatles and John Dowland : They all specialized in using melancholy in their songs.
  • Mozart, George Benson, and Cee Lo Green : All had virtuosic skills in their genre but  created simplified melodies that appealed to a mass market.
  • J.S. Bach, Charlie Parker and Squarepusher : They codified the vocabulary of their genre.
